(Lion) unveiled its first all-electric Class 8 urban truck this morning. The Lion8 will be commercialized this Fall and the first vehicle will be delivered to Société des Alcools du Québec (SAQ).

Volkswagen Plans 22 Million Electric Cars In 10 Years
Volkswagen Group is serious about electric vehicles. It may not look that way if you judge by its battery-powered cars on the road today — in the U.S., it currently offers only the Volkswagen e-Golf. But, its various brands will be producing millions in just a few years from now. In fact, it’s just increased its planned output from 15 million to 22 million over the next ten years. That’s ambitious by any standard.
Tesla turnaround: some retail stores will stay open, prices will increase
Tesla can’t quite seem to make up its mind about its retail sites (or “galleries, showcases and Tesla information centers” if you prefer). Two weeks ago, the company announced plans to close most of its stores “in order to pass the savings along to our customers.” Now this decision seems to have been partially reversed.
