SVEM and SVEQ, Carbon Neutral Events!

The Electric Vehicle Shows in Montreal and Quebec City are among the first of their kind to receive the Carbon Neutral Award.

Becoming Carbon Neutral aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere or to offset emissions that could not be reduced by taking environmentally responsible actions.

Ecologically responsible actions include Transportation Electrification, Carpooling, Composting, Tree Planting and the Purchase of Carbon Credits.

Contribution for SVEM and SVEQ Forest

By becoming Carbon Neutral, the SVEM and SVEQ now hold their own forest in which visitors to the Salons can contribute one dollar to increase the number of trees in this forest. The inauguration of this forest will take place in April 2019 in the Mirabel region.

Partnership with NatureLab.world

The expertise of the organization NatureLab.world will allow us to evaluate the carbon footprint generated by the activity of the two events and compensate by planting new trees. NatureLab.world also invites all citizens to calculate their carbon footprint via the application available on their website and also invites them to offset their emissions.
